July 1 — The Digital Supply Chain Institute (DSCI) is excited to announce a collaboration with the ICC Digital Standards Initiative to develop a Digital Trade Readiness Framework. This framework is designed to help organizations across the global supply chain ecosystem assess and strengthen their ability to adopt electronic trade records (ETRs) and digital trade documentation.

The initiative aims to develop a practical tool that enables companies to evaluate their capabilities in areas related to implementing digital trade processes and documentation.

“A digital trade readiness framework will help to mainstream digital trade by giving more organizations concrete guidance on how to take the first steps, and progress thereon,” said Pamela Mar, Managing Director of the ICC Digital Standards Initiative. “We are delighted to work with partners such as DSCI and others on this journey.”

Structured as a focused working group over a 6- to12-month period, the project will bring together global leaders with complementary strengths, including the British Standards Institution, Digital Governance Council, ICC Germany, and DSCI. Each organization brings unique expertise, from standardization and verification to supply chain maturity modeling.

“We’re excited to contribute our deep expertise in supply chain maturity models and operational transformation to this vital initiative,” said Craig Moss, Director of Member Relations & Supply Chain Transformation at DSCI. “The readiness model will provide organizations, including small and medium businesses, with a clear, actionable path to succeed in digitally-enabled global trade. Everyone benefits because the flow of data, goods, and money will be faster and more efficient. ”

“We are pleased to join the ICC Digital Standards Initiative as a strategic partner in the Digital Trade Readiness Working Group,” said Marko Kovacevic, Managing Director of DSCI. “We have been working to ensure this is a truly horizontal initiative—one that recognizes not just technological maturity, but the operational reality and leadership role that organizations like DSCI and our members play in making digital trade work at scale. Our engagement ensures that the voice of the supply chain practitioner is front and center.”
